Product Description:
FK1510 is a bimodal terpolymer polyethylene resin from Borouge used for high-performance flexible packaging films. It features a unique combination of high dart drop impact, durability, and excellent sealing properties, while also being easy to process at lower temperatures for energy savings. It is suitable for food contact and can be co-extruded with other polymers like LDPE, LLDPE, or PP.
Properties:
- Mechanical properties: Offers improved toughness, puncture resistance, and tear strength compared to first-generation products, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications.
- Sealing performance: Provides outstanding sealing performance with a low seal initiation temperature (SIT) and high hot tack force, enabling faster processing speeds.
- Optics: Exhibits good optical properties, which can be boosted by blending with at least 5% LDPE.
- Food contact: Complies with food contact regulations in most countries, though a certificate should be obtained from the supplier if required.
