Polymeric MDI
Product Description:
Polymeric MDI is a liquid aromatic isocyanate widely used in the production of rigid and semi-rigid polyurethane (PU) foams. Known for its stability at ambient temperatures, it offers reliable performance and can be safely stored and handled even at temperatures as low as -20°C under proper conditions.
Applications:
Polymeric MDI is extensively used across insulation, construction, and industrial manufacturing sectors, including:
- Construction and insulation panels
- Spray-applied thermal insulation
- Refrigeration insulation (refrigerators and cold storage)
- Automotive interiors and instrument panels
- Container insulation and transport applications
- LNG carrier insulation systems
- Pre-insulated pipes and district heating systems
- Rigid and flexible PU foams
- Foundry resin sand binders
- Synthetic wood and wood imitation products
- Heat insulation materials and board foams
Other Common Uses:
- Paints and protective coatings
- Adhesives and sealants
- Structural and microcellular integral skin foams
- Automotive bumpers and interior components
- High-resilience foams
- PU coatings and PU adhesive systems
- Waterproofing and seepage-proofing applications
Storage Guidelines:
- Store in tightly sealed, moisture-free containers
- Recommended storage temperature: 15°C to 35°C
- Avoid exposure to temperatures below 5°C to prevent crystallization
- Keep in a dry, well-ventilated indoor environment
Safety & Handling:
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, goggles, and respiratory protection
- Avoid inhalation and contact with skin or eyes
- Handle in well-ventilated areas following standard industrial safety practices
Emergency Response:
